Chamfering

We offer you cut pieces with processed chamfers:

• Work piece length: 3,050 mm
• 19 individual claws for stretching

Chamfering (grinding and robots)

We chamfer cut pieces for you by a belt grinder.

We offer you cut pieces with processed chamfers:

• Chamfering by autogenous cut
• Chamfering and straitening by belt grinder
• Chamfering by welding edge former

The belt grinder’s parameters are:

• Chamfering angle continuously adjustable: 0° to 60°
• Height range: 3 to 80 mm
• Work piece length: 3,050 mm
• 19 individual claws for stretching

Besides we offer you chamfering service by robot technology.

We handle your chamfering orders by using autogenous cutting in the following range:

• lots: min. 15 pieces
• thickness of cut pieces: up to 150 mm
• upper and lower chamfering with only one fixed position
• Working distance: 2,650 mm
• 2 work stations

Rolling

Here we are in a position to process for you pipes and cones with longitudinally welded seams.

The rolls’ parameter are:

• plate thickness: 5 to 80 mm
• diameter: 250 to 5,000 mm
• Welding processes: MAG, MIG, E-hand, UP

We offer you the rolled pieces complete including acceptance test by Germanischer Lloyd, Bureau Veritas and many others.

Plates rolled cylindrically or conically are made by a three-roll bending machine. Chamfers for welding seam preparation are worked autogenously or by welding edge former, depending on plate thickness.

Turning 

By undertaking for you the machining, Universal turn cut pieces into ready-to-install structural members, and we also do turning and machining of flanges up to 4,000 mm diameter.

We guarantee processing exactly corresponding to drawing: final quality test and measurement protocols form part of the special service we offer our customers.

Drilling / threading

We supply edge pieces, rolled pieces and simple cut pieces including drillings and threads. It is our aim to deliver pieces that are already processed as much as possible. Besides we also offer boring machine jobs.

Also for such jobs we ensure you of our processing exactly according to drawing.   
 

Welding of structures

In this field we offer you:

• Welded girders made of cut strips
• Welding constellations prepared for further mechanical processing
• Mechanically worked ready-made welding structures

Milling

By milling and drilling we turn cut pieces into ready-to-install structural members.

We mill large cut pieces (up to 26 tons) by numerically controlled tooling automatons and portal milling machines with the following maximum dimensions:
X  =  8,500 mm
Y  =  4,000 mm
Z  =  2,500 mm

We undertake boring machine jobs with a spindle diameter of max. 200 mm and a working area of
X  =  18,000 mm
Y  =  4,100 mm
Z  =  2,000 mm

Edging and cutting

Universal does further processing of cut pieces by edging and cutting for the following fields of application:
