Alloy 59 - Description
Nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy: high resistance to a multitude of corrosive media, under oxidizing and reducing conditions, to mineral acids such as nitric, phosphoric, sulphuric and hydrochloric acids (mixtures of sulphuric and hydrochloric acids) and contaminated mineral acids, to pit and gap corrosion as well as insensitiveness to chloride induced tension crack corrosion; easy to process and weld without inclination to being hot brittle.
